The Girl Choir tradition began on May 11, 1996 when 180 girls became charter members. The choir has grown to include girls in four levels of vocal experience and ability. All choirs are both training and performing units. The music program is based on progressive vocal music instruction and performance readiness. Choir members must be at least seven years old. Admission to the touring choir is by placement auditions. Auditions are held in the spring or by appointment. School music teacher recommendations are welcomed for ages 7-18. Classical music literature forms the foundation for choir instruction. Repertoire includes contemporary, folk, ethnic, sacred, and secular music.

Changes were made during our 2021-22 season. See the Events tab for a list of our current choirs.

The Preludio Choir is a training choir whose members sing unison, echo and partner songs. They receive basic music instruction and voice development. An optional tour experience is available.

The Arietta Choir as an advanced training choir in which the girls continue to receive musical instruction and voice development and are introduced to two-part singing. A tour experience is available.

The Cantabile Choir is an auditioned choir made up of members who have demonstrated excellence in choral singing, exhibit personal maturity and a high level of personal commitment. The girls receive advanced musical instruction. They also receive more advanced vocal instruction that makes it possible for them to perform three and four part choral literature. Touring is a requirement.

The Con Brio choir is an auditioned, top-level, high school aged choir whose members demonstrate the highest level of musical excellence and commitment to the organization. Touring is a requirement.
