Diane joined virtual board meetings in 2020 and in Fall 2021 became CO-President of the board. We are so happy and lucky to have her on the board!
Trudi has been Co-President of the board since Fall 2021. Trudi is a stay-at-home mother, leads her daughters’ Scouts BSA Troop for Girls, writes, paints, cooks, hikes, gardens, and enjoys travel when possible! Together, they enjoy watching their children participate in GBBCGC, school productions and the NEWDO Nutcracker Ballet. Both have enjoyed chaperoning our tours. Trudi says watching our children represent our choirs, our city, and our country so well is a huge source of pride and brings her great joy.
Amy Johnson has been serving on the Board of Directors since 2019. She is a blessed and proud parent to have her son entering his 4th year in the choir, currently singing with Accordo. Amy has a true love for the Arts and Music with her husband’s family having a long-standing musical background. She, along with her husband, Jeremie, could not be more excited to have found this niche for their son and to be involved with this amazing organization that helps promote the kids' musical talents, leadership skills, and personal development. She enjoys seeing the family atmosphere of this organization shine forth each week at rehearsals, during tours, at concerts, and impromptu events.
During the day, Amy is employed with the Denmark School District as a Speech and Language Pathologist, working with PK-K level students. She enjoys reading, spending time at the family cottage, pouring into her children, and attending musical and theatrical performances.
Susan McAllister has been serving on the Board of Directors since 2014 after having spent a term as Board President and a year as Artistic Director of the Green Bay Boy Choir. As one of the non-parent community representatives, her dedication to the GBBCGC is rooted in her belief that a young person's opportunity to experience the beauty and power of the art of choral music in community with others contributes toward their building a successful and fulfilling life.
Susan, a retired public school music educator, is currently an Adjunct Instructor of Music Education at St. Norbert College, and serves her community and state through involvement on a number of boards of music/art and professional associations. She loves to read, garden, cook, swim, travel, and attend concerts, plays, opera, and musicals with her husband Tom.
Kristine has been serving on the Board of Directors since 2014. She is the proud parent of a Green Bay Girl Choir alumna, an energetic tour chaperone, and a former parent manager. Music has been a part of her life since her childhood, where she was fortunate to be taught how to play the piano, violin, and clarinet. She performed on the clarinet and piano throughout junior high and high school in the band. She believes all children should have access to quality music education and performance opportunities that allows them to share their gift of music. In her free time, Kristine enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering for a community food pantry, swimming, sewing, kayaking, and hanging out with the family dogs.
Kristen is the Director of Choirs at Ashwaubenon High School where she conducts three curricular choirs and a show choir along with facilitating exploratory music events and trips. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Choral and General Music Education from UW-Stevens Point, as well as certifications in Business Administration and Economics.
As a soprano, Kristen appeared in several fully staged operas at UWSP including Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, performed in German. She has studied with many renowned directors including the famous soprano Renée Fleming! Kristen serves as the adult choir director at Resurrection Catholic Parish and also performs as a freelance harpist throughout Wisconsin.
Kristen wanted to learn more about the Green Bay choral community and become a more active member now that she is making Green Bay her permanent home. When Kristen is not working, she is happiest camping at and exploring local state parks with her fiance and their two small dogs. She has been on the Board since 2020.
