Choir Directors & Accompanists

Dr. Sarah Parks

Dr. Parks directs our advanced/high school choir. Dr. Parks is also the Associate Professor of Music at St. Norbert College. Her college choirs have toured regionally and internationally, most recently to Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa. The St. Norbert College Chamber Singers have been selected as a featured performance ensemble for WMEA and WCDA state conferences and the choirs have been invited to perform on stage with distinguished musical artists, ranging from John Rutter to Kenny Rogers. 

Throughout her life, Professor Parks has sung with renowned choral conductors, including Robert Fountain (University of Wisconsin-Madison) and Kenneth Jennings (St. Olaf College). As a member of the St. Olaf Choir and the Minnesota Chorale, she performed frequently with the Minnesota Orchestra under the baton of Sir Neville Marriner and sang Beethoven’s “Ninth Symphony” with Leonard Slatkin conducting. Professor Parks is an active stage performer and has appeared in diverse roles such as Pitti-Sing (“The Mikado”), the Beggar Woman (“Sweeney Todd”), Mrs. Potts (“Beauty and the Beast”) and Madame Armfeldt (“A Little Night Music”).

Prior to her working at St. Norbert College, Professor Parks was an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where she received the Outstanding Teaching Award within the Humanities and Fine Arts division of the College of Arts and Sciences. She is a licensed music educator in Wisconsin and has taught for five years in choral and general music programs at the middle and high school levels. 

Professor Parks enthusiastically serves as a guest conductor, adjudicator and clinician through the region. She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, where she has held many state leadership roles and has presented research sessions at state and regional conferences on aging voice and group voice instruction. Her article, “Enriching Choral Opportunities for Aging Voices,” appeared in the Choral Journal. Professor Parks is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi and the National Association for Music Education. 





Mark Peot

Mark conducts our middle school age choirs. Mark has over 30 years of experience as a music educator in the Green Bay Area Public School District and recently retired as West High School's choral director. There he directed Chamber, Mixed, Treble, Men's, Show, and Madrigal Choirs. He also assisted with seventeen musical productions.

Mr. Peot graduated from UW-Green Bay  with a degree in Music Education and certification in Choral and General Music. He also holds a Master's degree in Administrative Leadership from UW-Milwaukee. Music and singing are among the most influential of his life experiences and he is thrilled to share his passion and love of choral singing with the Girl Choirs.

Liz Chavez

Elizabeth Chavez is in her eleventh season as a director for the choir. Before Ms.Chavez joined the boy choir as a director, she served as a clinician at the Green Bay Girl Choir Summer Camps, leading the 4th grade girls in small group sectionals. She also serves as an office support staff member in the area of Technology and Communications Manager.  

Ms. Chavez was an elementary music teacher in the Green Bay Area Public Schools at Eisenhower Elementary School for six years.  At Eisenhower, Ms. Chavez taught general music to kindergarten through fifth grade students, served as a PTO staff liaison, member of the Diversity Committee, leader of an after-school drumming club, and was an active member of the school’s Technology Team.

Elizabeth is now a Technology Integrator for the Green Bay Area Public Schools. She travels to various schools within the district to guide staff and students at each building in how to utilize technology in the classroom for teaching and learning purposes. 

Ms. Chavez earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music with an emphasis in choral and general music from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.  In January 2018 Elizabeth completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Technology through the University of Marian Online, Fond du Lac, WI. She is an active presenter at various technology conferences within the Northeast Wisconsin region, is a certified SMART Exemplary Educator (SEE) and SMART Teacher Trainer in using SMART technologies, and a Certified BrainPOP Educator.

Emily Sculliuffo

Emily began working with the Green Bay Girl Choir in 2006 and has performed with the choir in Australia, New Zealand, Cleveland, Denver, Vancouver, Minneapolis, Boston and Cincinnati. She is a graduate of St. Norbert College with a degree in piano accompanying.  Emily plays for the UWGB Concert Choir, as well as the Calvary Lutheran senior and youth choirs.  She enjoys musical theater and has played for over 60 shows in the Green Bay area.

Annie Schneider

Annie Schneider came back with the choirs in June 2022 after having previously accompanied the Nicolet and Joliet Choirs.  She is a graduate of UWGB, a former preschool administrator, K-12 substitute, and maintains a private piano studio with students ranging in age from preschool through adult.  Mrs. Schneider has directed Children's Choirs, Girls' Choir, and Men's Ensembles at Bethel Baptist Church where she serves as a pianist and vocalist.  Mrs. Schneider enjoys accompanying choir concerts, musicals, and solo-ensemble events at schools in and around the Green Bay area.
